Niklas Edin produced a nerveless last stone as Sweden defeated Canada 6-5 in the final of the 2024 World Men’s Curling Championship.
The event took place in the ice arena at the KSS Sports Complex in Schaffhausen, Switzerland from 30 March to 7 April 2024.
And it reached a fitting climax as the two best teams throughout the week played out a thrilling final with Edin again getting the better of Canada skip Brad Gushue.
In the bronze medal match, Italy scored a triple in the 10th against Scotland to force an extra end. And Joel Retornaz’s rink stole one in the 11th to win 7-6 as Bruce Mouat just missed a tricky hit and roll with the hammer.
All the matches were streamed live on Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app for mobile devices.
The action started with a round-robin stage, where all 13 teams played each other once.
The top two teams went straight to the semi-finals on the evening of Saturday 6 April with the next four competing in single play-offs that morning for the last two spots.
Below are all the results, fixtures and standings from the competition. All games last 10 ends unless otherwise noted. All times are local (UTC+01:00 on 30 March, UTC+02:00 for remainder of tournament).
