Last night, Moncler gave skiwear the best—and most star-packed—fashion show imaginable in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Anne Hathaway, Willow Smith, Nina Dobrev, and ELLE editor-in-chief Nina Garcia were among the many notable guests who attended the runway show for the Italian brand’s Grenoble line of performance-based outerwear in the Swiss mountains.
The flagpole event capped off a weekend that began with a welcome dinner Friday at Langosteria on the slopes of Corviglia, a morning of skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing Saturday for guests, and then lunch at Paradiso, atop the peaks of St. Moritz.
The show itself, which took place Saturday evening, was straight out of a storybook. Guests enjoyed drinks in the wooden Clavadatsch Hut ahead of Moncler Grenoble debuting its line outside in the middle of the forest, with heated seats for the A-listers taking it all in.
The luxury house merged the majestic nature of the snowy backdrop with the craftsmanship on view in its new fall/winter 2024 collection fit for the slopes. Models, including Emily Ratajkowski and Irina Shayk, walked on the paved snow runway to show off the wide range of pieces for men and women.
Belted monochrome ski suits offered a ladylike take on technical skiwear, while patterned, quilted puffers put a fresh spin on the winterwear staple. But the most compelling part of Moncler’s latest assortment is the one hidden in the details of the ski and après-ski pieces: The designers purposely created the effect of Aran knit stitches on the ski jackets’ quilting, as just one example of the level of craftsmanship and thought put into every single piece.
After the show, guests warmed up inside at the night club Dracula for the show’s after-party, Moncler’s fun (and a bit raucous) end to its high-style, fairy-tale getaway. Swipe through below to see highlights from the runway and shots of the stars mingling inside.
