England will be without one of their key players in Marc Guehi for their Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland.
The Crystal Palace man has been one of the Three Lions‘ best players across the tournament, but Gareth Southgate will have to re-shuffle his defence for the last-eight tie in Dusseldorf.
Southgate isn’t exactly blessed with options to replace Guehi, but he’s going to have to find someone.
Speaking after the game to talkSPORT, Southgate confirmed that he would have to make a change, with Guehi unavailable.
Why is Guehi not playing against Switzerland?
Guehi was booked during England’s 2-1 win over Slovakia for a foul in the early exchanges.
It was his second yellow of the tournament, meaning he has to now serve a one-match ban.
Guehi received a poor pass from Kieran Trippier and was forced to bring his man down, leading to a yellow card.
He did well to avoid another booking across the rest of the game but will sit out the game against the Swiss in the quarter-finals.
Guehi has filled in for Harry Maguire superbly and has impressed in the heart of the defence.

Losing him for this match is undoubtedly a blow for England.
The Three Lions came from 1-0 down in the dying seconds of their game against Slovakia thanks to a stunning Jude Bellingham overhead kick, set up by Guehi.
Harry Kane then scored the winner in extra-time.
They will have to be much better against Switzerland, but Guehi’s absence is a problem.
Southgate has Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez and Ezri Konsa as his other centre-back options to partner John Stones.
England’s quarter-final clash against the Swiss will take place at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf at 5pm UK time on Saturday.
