The quarter-finals for Euro 2024 have finally been confirmed. Germany vs Spain and France vs Portugal are the two mouth-watering clashes to come from this stage of the tournament.
Gareth Southgate‘s England team who find themselves on the ‘easier’ side of the draw have been paired against Switzerland.
The Three Lions narrowly missed out on crashing out of the tournament against Slovakia thanks to a 96th minute equaliser by Jude Bellingham before Harry Kane went on to score the winner in extra-time.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Co booked their place in the quarter-finals against France after beating Slovenia in penalties whilst Les Bleus who have yet to unleash their forward talent, have managed to make it to the quarter-finals without any of their players scoring a goal after beating Belgium 1-0 thanks to a late own goal.
The most exciting match-up sees the hosts Germany come up against arguably the new tournament favourites Spain. Spain looked impressive in their 4-1 victory against Georgia despite conceding an early goal, whilst the German’s knocked out Denmark.

Who will play each other in the semi-finals?
Since the knockout stage for the competition is pre-determined, we already know who each team will face if they advance to the semi-finals.
The first of the two semi-finals will take place on Tuesday, July 9 at the Allianz Arena which will see the winner of Spain vs Germany come up against the winner of Portugal vs France.
With the second semi-final taking place the day later, on Wednesday, July 10 which will feature either England or Switzerland vs Netherlands or Austria/Turkey.
The Euro 2024 Final will then be played on Sunday, July 15 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
Spain are now arguably the tournament favourites and if they beat host’s Germany they will face the winner’s of Portugal vs France
