DENMARK PREVIEW: INTERIM ERA OF LARS KNUDSEN BEGINS
Kasper Hjulmand led Denmark to the semi-finals of UEFA EURO 2020 but things have declined ever since that peak and he finally took the decision to leave his role as Denmark boss this summer following their exit to Germany in Dortmund.
Lars Knudsen has been placed in charge of the side on an interim basis and his first squad has kept a lot of the experience of the past such as Kasper Schmeichel, Christian Eriksen, new captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as well as Yussuf Poulsen.
SWITZERLAND PREVIEW: THE STEADY SWISS
Under the management of the egotistical Hakan Yakin, Switzerland performed well at UEFA EURO 2024. They began with a 3-1 defeat of Hungary in their opening match before a draw with Scotland and then strong performance and draw against hosts Germany.
After that, the Swiss then produced an impressive win against defending champions Italy to make it successive tournaments in which they had knocked out a finalist from the previous UEFA European Championships before then losing to England on penalties.
DENMARK TEAM NEWS: THREE OR FOUR
The tactical flexibility of Kasper Hjulmand allowed Denmark to thrive for large parts and Lars Knudsen now has to decide whether to go with a back three or four. The likelihood, given the make-up of his squad with just three centre-backs, is a four.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Schmeichel; Bah, Andersen, Nelsson, Kristiansen; Hjulmand, Hojbjerg; Skov Olsen, Eriksen, Damsgaard; Wind

SWITZERLAND TEAM NEWS: CONTINUING THE PROGRESS
Back-to-back quarter-final finishes at UEFA European Championships may not seem like much progress but the much-improved performances of Switzerland would suggest Hakan Yakin keeps a similar line-up for the UEFA Nations League.
PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Kobel; Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez; Widmer, Zakaria, Xhaka, Freuler, Aebischer; Embolo, Duah

DENMARK VS SWITZERLAND PREDICTION
Denmark and Switzerland facing off against each other in a UEFA Nations League encounter doesn’t set the pulse racing. The two sides are in very different shape at the moment, though, despite their other similarities in terms of level of quality. Denmark are rebuilding and actually on a run of just three wins, friendly victories against Faroe Islands, Sweden and Norway, in nine matches, whilst Switzerland appeared well grooved this summer so a double chance bet in favour of the Swiss may well be good value.
