Shah Rukh Khan was spotted at Mumbai airport late on Thursday. Wearing an orange hoodie and sporting a casual look, SRK hurried through the security check presumabely avoiding the paps.
As per reports, Shah Rukh is travelling to Switzerland to receive the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. The award is said to be in honour of his glorious career and contribution to cinema.
As reported by news agency AFP, the festival’s artistic director Giona A Nazzaro said, “The wealth and breadth of his contribution to Indian cinema is unprecedented. Khan is a king who has never lost touch with the audience that crowned him. This brave and daring artist has always been willing to challenge himself.”
Shah Rukh Khan, who made a blickbuster return to films in 2023 with three releases – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, is currently gearing up for his next project titled King. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, and actors Abhishek Bachchan and Munjya fame Abhay Verma.
Suhana made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar directorial Netflix film The Archies in 2023. The movie, also starring Khushi Kapoor, Agasthya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja and DOT, had a lukewarm reception. Now Suhana teaming up with her father SRK in King is already being look forward to.
In the meantime, SRK’s son Aryan Khan directed an advertisement video for luxury apparel brand, named D’yavol X featuring his father. The 26-year-old is also helming web series tentatively titled Stardom. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, it is reportedly set against the backdrop of the Hindi film industry. It explores the lives and struggles of Bollywood stars, and has elements of comedy too.
