The Switzerland Selling Guide has been designed as a one-stop shop for agents selling Switzerland. It features information on the best time to go, suggested itineraries and marketing support, as well as a flights guide and accommodation options. Agents can also access an overview of essential information about Switzerland and a round-up of events to promote to clients.
Evelyn Lafone, Switzerland Tourism’s head of trade for the UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with TTG Media to launch our first sales guide to Switzerland. Our aim is to help travel advisors gain a better understanding of Switzerland and the possibilities to visit at any time of year. In particular the spring, summer and autumn are great times to visit for outdoor activities combined with a couple of days in a Swiss city.”
The guide features profiles from seven Swiss partners, giving agents key selling tips to help them sell destinations including Canton Vaud, Lucerne, Ticino, Valais and Zurich, as well as the Bernina Express and Travel Switzerland.
Agents will also discover responsible travel tips to share with clients, and Lafone explains: “Sustainability has been a way of life for centuries in Switzerland and this is something lived daily by locals. Our goal is to welcome and encourage our visitors to do the same so future generations can enjoy Switzerland as much as we do now.”
She continued: “Dive into our guide, check out the different regions and of course our glorious panoramic trains and journeys. The best way to discover Switzerland is by public transport with a Swiss Travel Pass. One ticket, and visitors can enjoy all public transport, free entry to over 500 museums and kids under 16 travel for free.”
Agents are being encouraged to bookmark the TTG Switzerland Selling Guide for easy access, as the guide will be updated with new training content throughout the course of a year.
The series of selling guides launched earlier this year, and include Belize, Colombia and Florida, while the TTG Virgin Voyages Selling Guide and TTG Expedition Cruise Selling Guide are available for cruise sellers.
