MIES (Switzerland) – Basketball fans across the Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will soon enjoy even more premium men’s and women’s national team events thanks to a new partnership between FIBA, basketball’s world governing body, and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Additionally, the agreement between FIBA and long-standing partner TV3 Group will be extended.
Starting in November 2025 and spanning a four-year period, international basketball will be broadcast on multiple major media services in the three countries following two deals.
The first renews an agreement between FIBA and long-standing partner TV3 Group. The second grants broadcasting rights to national public broadcasters LRT in Lithuania, LTV in Latvia and ETV in Estonia via the new partnership with the EBU, covering 16 countries in Europe.
National team games and other important matchups from major events – including selected games from Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and the Final – will be shown live and free across TV, radio and digital platforms.
These broadcasts by the EBU Members will be complemented by TV3 Group, with exclusive complete coverage of the FIBA events on its Go3 services throughout the Baltics region. Selected games will also be available on its flagship free-to-air TV3 and TV6 channels in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
These arrangements, negotiated by FIBA Media, the strategic partnership between FIBA and DAZN, will ensure that fans in the Baltic region and across Europe will have extensive choice and the broadest coverage of FIBA basketball.
