Around 1,500 children and their coaches gather from 4 to 9 August at the Swiss city of Bulle, to celebrate twenty years of Kids Games, with the theme Team up, together with our differences.

Kids Games is a “week of sport, fun and creativity, along with biblical discovery”, for participants aged between 7 and 14 from eighteen regions of French-speaking Switzerland.

It aims to “bring about personal transformation through the love of the God of Jesus Christ, but also to share hope and positive Christian values with children from all backgrounds”, points out Emmanuel Schmied, coordinator of Kids Games in French-speaking Switzerland.

“We value teamwork and encourage respect, friendship and mutual help. The challenge is to learn to work as a team despite our differences”

The Bible study time of Kids Games “offers a chance to explore Bible stories and share the questions the children may have”.

“We want every child to discover that they are loved by God. We invite them to become responsible for their own lives, while reminding them that they are not alone in this adventure”.

The celebration of the 20 years took place on 7 August, with a show call Time out Breathe, designed as a great “breath of fresh air”, with the participation of the worship music group, the funambulist Estelle Borel, and Association of Artists of French-speaking Switzerland Lausanne Impact.

In search of a treasure supposedly at the bottom of a lake, the performers “kept the children on the edge of their seats and took them on a quest for depth and values with lively dialogue and life-size scenery of a a boat and lighthouse”.
