England vs Switzerland: Friendlies stats & head-to-head – BBC Sport

England will be without injured duo Chloe Kelly and Fran Kirby for the friendly against Switzerland on Tuesday.

Forward Kelly is going through concussion protocols while midfielder Kirby has a calf injury after both players came off the bench during Saturday’s 0-0 draw with the United States.

Manager Sarina Wiegman says England will make “many changes” as they continue to “try out things” in their preparation for Euro 2025.

Among those who will feature is Chelsea defender Millie Bright, who was left on the bench for the goalless draw at Wembley.

“It was a hard decision. We’ve played four defenders the most in the last period so I chose to balance it out against the USA,” Wiegman told BBC Sport.

“Of course, that’s very hard for Millie. Against Switzerland she will play and I’m happy that she is fit and can take that opportunity.

“I think they will be hard to breakdown. They play in a really compact way but are also not scared to get in behind quickly. We have warned about those situations.”

Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton will also be hoping for game time after Wiegman started Mary Earps against the USA.

Asked whether Earps remained Wiegman’s number one, she said: “I have not made that decision.

“They are really competing. We have a good goalkeeper group. Mary and Hannah [Hampton] are really close.

“We have these four friendlies – we have played three now – I want to see both of them in games, all the time in training and with their clubs. They will both get opportunities to play.”
