Cows could be seen trying to stay on their feet at the Col du Pillon mountain pass as snowflakes fell, covering surrounding trees and fields.
The Col du Pillon is located around 1,500 meters (4,921feet) above sea level, at the foothills of the Glacier 3000.
Snowfall is not exceptional at this time of the year but, due to the ground temperature being above freezing level, the snow is expected to melt quickly.
