Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced its foray into the Swiss online market through a partnership with Grand Casino Basel, an established name among Switzerland’s land-based casinos.
This collaboration marks GiG’s debut in the Swiss regulatory environment, with Grand Casino Basel’s existing online operation – Golden Grand Casino – set to migrate to GiG’s platform.
The partnership will showcase GiG’s latest technology, including machine learning toolkit LogicX and DataZ, a product designed to enhance decision-making processes.
With Switzerland’s unique regulatory framework, characterised by stringent licensing requirements and limited operators, the move has the potential to offer significant growth opportunities. In fact, the Swiss online market is forecast to grow substantially in the coming months, reaching over €440m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) by the end of 2024, according to H2 Gambling Data.
Andrew Cochrane, GiG’s Chief Business Officer, commented: “We’re delighted to formally announce our partnership with Grand Casino Basel to migrate their online casino to our powerful platform technology, CoreX.
“The combination of their established and popular brand, with our proven expertise at delivering highly successful digital operations provides a great opportunity to drive value and growth in the attractive Swiss online market.”
Kai Laepple, CEO of Grand Casino Basel, added: “We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with GiG, a highly experienced platform provider for the burgeoning Swiss online casino market. We anticipate a promising partnership ahead and are confident in our joint success.”
The senior executive team at GiG has undergone a shake-up recently, with Mateusz Juroszek being nominated to GiG Media’s Board of Directors and Matthew Saxon being appointed as the company’s new Chief Technical Officer.
