Lady Of Camelot has been heavily backed in the Golden Slipper

Lady Of Camelot, the Waterhouse and Bott-trained filly, has emerged as a strong contender for Saturday’s Golden Slipper (1200m), attracting significant backing.

Her odds have firmed from an initial $13 to $6 after the barrier draw, with Ladbrokes listing her as short as $5.50.

Currently, she holds the position of the third favourite with betting apps for the Rosehill feature, trailing behind Switzerland and Storm Boy at $4.80 and $2.40 respectively.

Ridden by Blake Shinn from barrier five, Lady Of Camelot displayed promise with a close second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) and a dominant win in the Widden Stakes (1100m).

A recent effortless victory in a Hawkesbury trial has further bolstered confidence in her Slipper prospects.

Meanwhile, Storm Boy’s odds have drifted to $2.40 despite being unbeaten in four starts, due to the surge of support for Lady Of Camelot. Switzerland has also experienced a slight drift from $4 to $4.80.
