New Delhi: Henley & Partners, an international wealth advisory firm, has stated that Switzerland is the world’s best nation to build multi-generational wealth, while India was ranked lower than Greece in regards to earning potential, career advancement, employment opportunities, premium education, economic mobility, and livability.
As per the new index by citizenship advisory firm Henley & Partners, India scored 32 per cent on the opportunity score and was featured on the last spot among the top 15 nations on the list.
Despite India scoring very low on economic mobility, the country has the highest career advancement with 43 points. Notably, India’s score in terms of earning potential was similar to Switzerland, Singapore occupied third place on the Index as it got a 79 per cent total opportunity score.
“Using the comparative function in the Henley Opportunity Index demonstrates how an Indonesian family whose total opportunity score sits at just 25% in their home country could raise the probability of success for the next generation to 82% by accessing residence rights in the US through the US EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Similarly, for an Indian family on 32%, relocating to Switzerland through the Swiss Residence Program would increase their advantage to 85%, and for Nigerians with an opportunity score of just 14%, an investment in the Singapore Global Investor Program, which provides residence rights in the city state, would uplift their life chances by a remarkable 65% to 79%,” the Henley & Partners report stated.
Switzerland secured the top place as it earned 100 points of earning potential, 95 points of career advancement, and 94 points of employment prospects. The country known for its extravagant tourism sector, scored 75 points on livability and economic mobility, while it received 72 on premium education.
The United States of America, the country with the highest GDP in the world, scored 82 per cent on the total opportunity score, 93 points on earning potential, 86 points on career advancement, and 68 points on high livability. The US and Switzerland were equal on employment prospects.
