Switzerland will be dreaming of achieving their best result on the European stage when they head to the tournament. The team took part in five Euros between 1996 and 2020. The team got past the group stage on two occasions, reaching the round of 16 in 2016 and the quarter-finals in 2020, marking the first time they had progressed further.

Coach Yakin is expected to field his team in a 3-4-1-2 formation, with the experienced Sommer in goal.

Akanji, Elvedi and Rodriguez are likely to form a solid defence. In midfield, Xhaka, Freuler, Vargas and Ndoye are likely to feature.
