In an international friendly, Switzerland took on Estonia. Steven Zuber opened the scoring in the first half and in the second half, Zeki Amdouni, Nico Elvedi and Xherdan Shaqiri all found the back of the net to give Switzerland the 4 – 0 win.
The last friendly before the Euros saw Switzerland host Austria. Christoph Baumgartner gave Austria the early lead in the fifth minute but Silvan Widmer equalised for Switzerland before halftime. Neither side could find the back of the net in the second half as the game finished in a 1 – 1 draw.
The opening game of the Euros for Switzerland was against Hungary. Kwadwo Duah and Michel Aebischer gave Switzerland the 2 – 0 lead at halftime but Barnabas Varga got Hungary on the scoresheet with 20 minutes to go. Embolo popped up with a goal in the 93rd minute to give Switzerland the 3 – 1 win.
Switzerland went behind early against Scotland with Scott McTominay scoring for the Tartan Army in the 13th minute. Shaqiri brought Switzerland level before halftime, but neither side scored again and the game finished in a 1 – 1 draw.
The last time out for Switzerland was yet another 1 – 1 draw, this time against Germany. Ndoye opened the scoring for Switzerland in the 28th minute but Niclas Fullkrug grabbed a goal in the 92nd minute to force the draw.

A June international friendly saw Italy host Turkey. Both sides only managed two shots on target in the full 90 minutes but neither were converted as the game finished in a 0 – 0 draw.
The last international friendly saw Italy get back to scoring against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Frattesi scored the only goal of the game in the 38th minute to give Italy the 1 – 0 win.
The first game of the Euros Group stage saw Italy take on Albania. Nedim Bajrami gave Albania the shock lead in the first minute but goals from Alessandro Bastoni and Barella gave Italy the 2 – 1 win.
The next game in the Group stage saw Italy fall to Spain. An own goal from Riccardo Calafiori in the 55th minute gave Spain the 1 – 0 win, with Italy having just one shot on target.
The most recent outing for Italy was against Croatia. Luca Modric’s goal early in the second half looked like it had secured Croatia’s spot in the knock-outs but a goal in the eighth minute of extra time from Mattia Zaccagni grabbed a 1 – 1 draw for Italy.
