The Islander goes to Switzerland

Island resident Monique Weiss and her son Matteo Frank recently traveled to Lauterbrunnen, a village in the Swiss Alps, to attend a birthday party.

Lauterbrunnen is near Eiger Mountain and scenic Staubbach Falls.

The village is famous for its picturesque scenery and surroundings. It’s known as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, with over 70 waterfalls, including the Staubbach Falls, one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe.

“The beauty and charm of these Swiss villages and their surrounding mountains and waterfalls are something I only ever saw in paintings … just gorgeous!” Monique said.

Thanks for sharing Monique and welcome back.
