England were among the favourites when Harry Kane and co arrived in Germany, but four poor performances have dampened the mood.
The one-time World Cup winners almost crashed out to Slovakia in the last-16 before they were rescued by a 95th-minute overhead kick from Jude Bellingham – with a Kane winner in extra-time sealing a 2-1 comeback win.
England’s form means the players won’t be looking beyond Switzerland, who eliminated holders Italy 2-0 in the last-16.
However, fans will no doubt be dreaming of moving to within one game of reaching the final in Berlin.
Who could England face in Euro 2024 semi-final?
If England beat Switzerland, one of Romania, Netherlands, Austria or Turkey will be await them in the semi-final at 8pm on July 10.
The Three Lions topped Group C despite drawing two of their three games, which put them on the favourable side of the knockout draw.
As a result, England avoided potential clashes with European heavyweights Germany, France, Portugal, and Spain – with it now only possible to play one of those four in an eventual final.

Instead, the strongest team on their route to the final on paper is the Netherlands, who are currently ranked No. 7 in the world.
The Dutch, like England, have struggled at Euro 2024 so far and finished third in Group D behind Austria and France.
Virgil van Dijk‘s Oranje will play surprise package Romania, who beat out Belgium to finish top of Group E.
The Netherlands could find themselves reuniting with Austria in the quarter-finals, having lost 3-2 to Ralf Rangnick‘s men last month.
First Austria will need to overcome Turkey for a second time in four months, following a 6-1 demolition of the Crescent-Stars in March.
